Announcing My Legume Love Affair , Thirty Second
February 1, 2011 by Sandhya Hariharan

Hello February!!! My love for Legumes is never ending for vegetarians like me. I have to thank Susan , face behind The Well Seasoned Cook for giving me this lovely opportunity to host this event.. Rather let me say I grabbed this chance ,when Susan invited the fellow bloggers last year to host this monthly mingling event . I am taking absolute pleasure in inviting all my lovely readers , fellow bloggers n non bloggers to participate in this 32nd MLLA.
A legume is a plant in the family Fabaceae (or Leguminosae), or a fruit of these specific plants. A legume fruit is a simple dry fruit that develops from a simple carpel and usually dehisces on two sides. A common name for this type of fruit is a pod, although the term "pod" is also applied to a few other fruit types, such as vanilla and radish. Well-known legumes include alfalfa, clover, peas, beans, lentils, carob, soy, and peanuts.
